According to an article in Big Picture, digital printing will continue to grow based on a report from Smithers Pira, a market research firm based in England. Their latest report shows that while digital printing accounts for just 2.5 percent of total print volume, the value of digital products is almost 14 percent of all printed projects. Other stats included in this report: the value has grown almost 10 percent since 2010. And by 2020, digital will be at a 17.4 percent of value and 3.4 percent of all print and printed packaging volume as offset providers move further and further into the digital realm.
